RIDERS WANTED – Expression of Interest

CTHIS! RACING are on the hunt for new riders to join our team. After entering the Australian Human Powered Super Series midway through last year, we are looking on building on what was a fun experience for all.

This year we look to compete in more races and are focused on participating in the 24 hour race at Murray Bridge in September. However before getting ahead of ourselves we need riders to help us out. We are therefore seeking the expression of interest from anyone that has a desire to ride and be part of our inclusive team at CTHIS! RACING.

It is not necessary to be the fastest or fittest rider, just have a passion for riding and an interest in being part of a team.

THE FINER DETAILS

  • RIDER HEIGHT – our minimum rider height is approx 165cm, with maximum 192-95cm. However this is dependent on rider dimensions.
  • RIDER AGE – we believe age is just a number and you are never too young or old to learn. So feel free to bring your family members out for a spin.
  • NUMBER OF RIDERS REQUIRED – We are not set on an exact number required, however we are happy to give as many riders a go where possible. Some races require more riders than others, and this will be based on the length of the race. Ideally we would like to have a combination of some regular members with the remaining places open to interchangeable members. This will mean that it does not matter if you are unable to make all the races, we will try and give you a go.
  • WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR – We welcome anyone that has an interest in riding. So spread the word to family and friends.
  • WHAT DO I NEED – Cycling shoes and a helmet. We use a clip less pedal system that are set up with Look Pedals, therefore cycling shoes are required. We have access to a Shimano pedal and can change for riders looking to come and try. Our team does not provide these and they are currently a requirement to ride. Based on the rider size it may be possible to borrow these items for a come and try.

The Fundraiser has officially sold out, and for this the team at CTHIS! Racing would like to thank everyone for their support.

If you missed out on tickets, and would still like to attend then please find us on Instagram or Facebook using the links on our website and send us a message and we will add you to the waiting list. We just need to check with the venue to ensure we are allowed to increase our capacity.

CTHIS! RACING – FUNDRAISER (Feat. The Phils)

CTHIS! Racing are hosting a fundraiser for the 2025 Australian Human Powered Vehicle Super Series (AHPVSS).

With the announcement of the 2025 opening round to take place in Mt Gambier at the end of March. CTHIS! Racing are hosting a fundraiser and invite you to get some family and friends together and help us kick start our season on a positive note.

DATE: 4th January 2025

TIME: 3:00pm to 5:00pm

WHERE: The Lighthouse Wharf Hotel

(Upstairs – 1 Commercial Rd, Port Adelaide)

The fundraiser aims to offer a family friendly event that we are sure will entertain you with the first public appearance of the “THE PHILS” supported by “60 in a School Zone”. Both bands are filled with young aspiring musicians who are out to show case their talents in the real world.

In conjunction to the live music on offer we aim to have our racing team trike “Whipstick” available to view, as well as a fundraising raffle offering a range of great prizes, thanks to the kind donations of our supporters.

THE LIGHTHOUSE WHARF HOTEL have also shown support to the team by allowing us the use of their premises for this event. Bar facilities will also be available during the event and we would like to return the support shown by the lighthouse and encourage you to take advantage of the bar to purchase drinks during the event. Given the timing of the event we also highly recommend that you book a table and grab some dinner at the events conclusion.

TICKET PURCHASES/REFUNDS

  • All tickets purchased via the website raises funds for CTHIS! RACING and assists in supporting the team through the 2025 AHPVSS season.
  • All purchases are final and refunds will only be offered at the discretion of the event host.
  • In the event the fundraiser is cancelled then full refunds will be issued.
